Being a leading international beverage can producer, we want to set the trend in the market and remain the number 1 choice of our customers.
Sustained top performance and the will to constantly improve are absolutely essential for this. In the year 2000, Ball Packaging Europe therefore became the first company in the packaging industry to introduce the Business Excellence Management model throughout the company.
Business Excellence is based on the European Foundation for Quality Management Model (EFQM). The objective of the model is to establish a culture of measurable, constant improvement. The improvement programmes extend to all sectors of the company: production processes, quality, employee satisfaction, customer orientation, financial operating results - even to the role of the company in politics and society.
In 2001, Ball packaging Europe intensified the strategic orientation of the entire corporate structure by introducing the CSF model. This model ensures that the corporate strategy is deep-seated at all organistional levels and that all activities are based on the strategy. Essential to the successful implementation of the Business Excellence programme is the willingness of all employees to have their own performance permanently reviewed. The critical self-assessment which all corporate divisions carry out at regular intervals and which culminate in a periodic sequence of review, change and improvement, is a vital element of the programme. This creates a corporate culture which rates learning and internal competition highly.
Customer satisfaction is the decisive benchmark for all our activities relating to the Business Excellence Programme. We regularly carry out customer surveys to measure the progress and results of our endeavours. We want to strengthen our competitiveness on a sustainable basis. And we can only succeed in this if our performance is excellent, if we create value for our customers and meet and exceed their expectations.
