Ball Corporation

Ball Corporation is one of the world's largest producers of metal and plastic containers for the beverage and food industry.

The company was established in 1880 in the USA and today employs some 14,000 staff at about 100 locations around the globe. Corporate headquarters are in Broomfield (Colorado). For 2008, Ball reported turnover totalling over US $ 7,56 billion.


Global Leader in Packaging

The packaging division generates 90% of the Ball Corporation turnover. Ball's strategy in the packaging division is to produce high quality products to meet the requirements of the high volume, strong growth segments in the beverage and food markets.  Since the end of 2002, the Ball Packaging Europe group is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Ball Corporation.


Other activities

Apart from the packaging division, Ball Corporation also owns Ball Aerospace & Technologies Corp. Ball Aerospace produces aerospace equipment and other high-tech solutions for governmental and commerical  clients.


Shareholder structure

The Ball Corporation shares are traded on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol BLL. The share capital is predominantly in the hands of institutional investors.
