Filling Tests
Filling tests and shelf life trials provide essentil advantages for new products and beverage cans prior market launch.
A customiable lab filler and seamer is available to our customers in the Technical Center laboratory. Pasteurisation, sterilisation, carbonation and liquid nitrogen injection processes can be carried out, as required. Beverages of widely differing beverage categories can be filled in all the conventional European beverage can sizes, sealed and appropriately thermally treated in the Technical Center laboratory. Especially for innovative beverages and product modifications filling tests in beverage cans offer a valuable opportunity to our customers.

Development Projects
Filling tests are an essential element of a large number of standard tests applied to both the container and the beverage. Metal absorption is measured under standardised conditions to assess the long-term behaviour of the container. New materials must be qualified in accordance with the internal corporate procedures at the customer's company by carrying out filling tests under standard conditions.
Qualification
Qualification of the materials used such as metals, varnishes, inks and compounds is crucial to guarantee the quality of can production, to control costs and to ensure continuous product enhancement. Various specified tests are required at each qualification stage to determine basic material suitability and functionality. These tests include both chemical analyses and material examinations. The comprehensive tests performed on the materials to be qualified include filling tests and simulated after-treatment such as pasteurisation and sterilisation which is carried out in the Technical Center laboratory.
