Functional Added Value

Key focus of the development work at Ball Packaging Europe is the innovations which generate functional added value for our customers.

The objective of our research in this field is to:

  • optimally retain the quality of the product over the longest possible period
  • facilitate consumption of the beverage and to increase convenience for the consumer.

Enhanced functionality of the beverage can is essential to successfully position the beverage in a keenly competitive market.

Examples of functional added value are innovative or optimised coatings, re-sealable can, beverage can with drinking straw or larger aperture ends.
